Theme days kind of suck. The quickly push down other more substantial content.

There’s no obvious rule, but per a discussion with mods this morning it’s considered spam if it isn’t subsumed into a single post.

I kinda like theme days. I’d rather have them than ‘re-posts’ which throw me off, thinking I’ve already seen everything below the ‘re-post’.

But, n ot that hard to scroll either way.

Strictly speaking most of the reposts are against the rules (there is an exception for things that get buried by theme days). But people aren’t supposed to be reposting just because someone might not have seen their previous post.

In the case of mine, it was just a normal DOTS with a catchy name and a link to more teal that I’ve seen. It wasn’t just a single image that was stolen off the internet.

The only time I personally find it problematic is when 1 person starts spamming a theme with multiple posts per hour.  I’ve got my own rule of constraining myself to no more than one post per hour.  That’s just me though.

Thank you. If you want a vibrant and active forum, then you need posts. If we are doing mid day hour rule posts, that’s not very active. Anything that gets people interacting in that case is healthy for the forum.
